The Climate Change Act commits the UK government by law to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 100% of 1990 levels (or ‘net zero’) by the year 2050. It will not be possible to facilitate this without expanding our current renewable energy capabilities and transitioning away from the use of imported fossil fuels.

The proposed development will have a total export capacity of 25 MW, which is enough to provide clean renewable electricity to approximately 12,500 homes per annum. This will make a vital contribution to the UK’s net zero targets, whilst securing a clean, independent energy source for the country.

Public Consultation

Public consultation is a valuable opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals at this early stage in the project programme. REPD are keen to bring this project forward in collaboration with the local community and other key stakeholders.
